The Bid Description and Seller Reference Number sections appear at the top of the Terms page after clicking Start Bid. To continue the bid, the Seller must enter information in both of these sections. The Buyer is able to see the Bid Description; however, only the Seller Representative will be able to view the Seller Reference Number.
Bid Description can be used as a title or additional reference for your bid. This description will be visible next to the buy number while the bid is open under the Active Bids. As an example, if the bid is for computers being shipped to Ohio, a potential Bid Description could be Ohio Computers.
A Seller Reference Number is provided as a method of identifying the bid in an internal accounting system. If your company doesn’t use an internal accounting system, the buy number or solicitation number can also be used.
